The evidence

Active recall is the literature.

Decades of cognitive-science research find that retrieval practice (answering questions you might get wrong) produces more durable learning than re-reading or highlighting. We built a question bank disciplined enough to use it.

FAQ

The questions serious applicants actually ask.

What is the CeMAP qualification?
The Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP) is the most widely recognised mortgage adviser qualification in the UK, awarded by the London Institute of Banking & Finance (LIBF). It is required to provide regulated mortgage advice and consists of three modules covering financial regulation, mortgage products, and practical advice skills.
How many modules does CeMAP have?
CeMAP has three modules: Module 1 (Financial Services, Regulation and Ethics) covers FCA regulation and ethical principles; Module 2 (Mortgages) covers mortgage law, products, and conveyancing; Module 3 (Assessment of Mortgage Advice Knowledge) is a synoptic assessment testing your ability to apply knowledge from Modules 1 and 2 to real-world scenarios.
What is the CeMAP pass mark?
You need to score 70% on each unit to pass. Under the new format (from November 2025), the exams are: FRE1 (50 questions), FRE2 (30 questions), MRT1 (100 questions), MRT2 (50 questions), and ASEW (80 questions). Each unit is examined separately.
Is GoCeMAP free to use?
Module 1 Unit 1 (FRE1: Industry, Regulation and Key Parties) is completely free with no credit card required. To access practice questions for all modules and units, a subscription costs just £9.99 per month, which you can cancel at any time.
How is GoCeMAP different from other CeMAP revision tools?
GoCeMAP is specifically designed for the new CeMAP syllabus effective from November 2025. Every question includes a detailed explanation, and your dashboard tracks mastery at the topic level so you can focus revision where it matters most. You can practise under timed exam conditions or work through questions at your own pace.
When did the new CeMAP format start?
The new modular CeMAP format took effect in November 2025, replacing the legacy three-paper structure. The new format splits the qualification into five separately examined units (FRE1, FRE2, MRT1, MRT2, and ASEW) and introduces updated syllabus content. All GoCeMAP questions are aligned to this new format.
